Lynn Bova -Senior Administrative Director

Sunbrook Academy proudly introduces Lynn Bova as our Senior Administrative Director and School Director. Lynn has dedicated the past 13 years of her career to educating and caring for children along with mentoring teachers. She is well known and respected in the Woodstock community as well as throughout the county. In fact, she has earned the reputation of “Number One Cherokee County Advocate for Children”! Just ask around and you will hear stories of how Lynn has successfully influenced and guided young families and their children or how she has encouraged high school students to consider a career in early childhood care and education.

Lynn’s vast life experiences have enabled her to lead and motivate. At the onset, she stood out as a teacher and a natural leader. She set the bar high as a positive role model. Lynn was promoted to Director and proclaimed that she had found her niche and her mission! Today, she holds the prestigious National Administrators Credential along with over 600 hours of certified early childhood training. She participates in the Teacher Cadet Program, DECA, Youth Apprenticeship, Work Exit Program, and Vision Quest, all on the high school level. She also completed the Early Education Field Experience program at Kennesaw State. Lynn's enthusiasm for learning and nurturing inspires her staff to reach for excellence in their interaction with the children in the classroom.

As a young adult, Lynn lived with her family in Tokyo, Japan. Those experiences of living in a foreign country greatly enhanced her respect for diversity and fairness. She developed a passion for politics, music and reading. Her devotion is family. She is either cooking for them or watching them play or coaching sports! She is married to Jim Theiss and they enjoy a blended family; Jared, Brittany and Tyler Cook and Travis Theiss.
